Freeman set to stop Lewis

PA Auckland The Kiwi rugby league stand-off, Gary Freeman, is far from flustered about having to play opposite the Australian captain, Wally Lewis, in Sunday’s World Cup final. Lewis, deemed by the New Zealand coach, Tony Gordon, as “the greatest man ever to pull on a pair of football boots,” is expected to play a leading role for the Kangaroos in the final. But as far as Freeman is concerned Lewis will be treated the same as everyone else, “He’s just another player,” Freeman said.. “I’ll be trying to get up quickly to stop him early. “I don’t think it bothers me playing against him because he’ll be wearing the green and gold and I’ll be wearing the black and white,” he said.
