Futures pick up

Interest rate ‘futures were mixed again yesterday on encouraging volume. The October bank bill contract slipped six points to 8567 as a high total of 521 lots were traded. The contract traded in a 5 point range. Government stock futures were also well traded as the December contract gained three points to 8718. A solid 803 lots were traded in anarrow four point range.
