Government stock con- . tracts were slightly easier yesterday as books were squared ahead of the release of the results of the latest Government stock tender today. - : The December contract slipped two points to 8724 (12.76 per cent) as physical rates firmed slightly. Bank bill futures slumped in line with rises in money market rates. The October contract was 12 points easier at 8580 (14.2 per cent). Dealers expect the contract to consolidate around present levels. On the Sydney Futures Exchange, the September share price index futures closed firmer at 1537 from 1533 previously as 975 contracts changed hands.
