Sponsorship for Club
Kinetic Investments, who have recently established a Christchurch office, is to sponsor the St Albans Cricket Club for the 1988-89 season. The men’s and women's senior teams will be known as “Kinetic St Albans.” The Auckland-based international financial broker specialises in foreign exchange risk management, on and offshore borrowing and futures trading. A director of the company, Mr Mike Eaton, said Kinetic Investments was delighted to be associated with such a prestigious club as St Albans. “St Albans has a fine record not only on the playing field, but also in Canterbury Cricket administration,” said Mr Eaton. “This is something the
club can rightly be very proud of and we are honoured to be associated with that record. “Kinetic Investments is a results-oriented company and, through the years, St Albans has shown it, too, has the best people who can produce winning results. “One dictionary definition of the word kinetic is ‘energetic or dynamic’ and that is very appropriate for the membership of the St Albans Cricket Club.” Noting that the St Albans men last season won both the Canterbury First Grade Trust Bank trophy and the Trust Bank Cup, and the women the senior championship. Mr Eaton said the association between Kinetic Investments and St Albans was clearly a case of “One top team supporting another.”
