FCL record profit
Fletcher Challenge is becoming a multi-national and will increasingly raise its capital overseas. The company announced yesterday that it had become New Zealand’s first firm to make a profit of more than half a billion dollars.
Shares in the company will soon be listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. It is already listed in Australia, Canada and New Zealand. Details of Fletcher Challenge’s profit appear in the business section, on page 34.
