If the Canadian dollar rises USI cent against the United States currency, about SNZIO million is added to the bot-tom-iine profit of Fletcher Challenge. Whem the New Zealand dollar falls 1 per cent against the American dollar, S6M is added to the company’s after-tax profits. At balance date, the New Zealand dollar was about U567.5C. If it had then been at its current level, about SSOM would have been added to the annual profit.
