Spy movie role
NZPA Paris A former French Defence Minister, Mr Charles Hernu, who was forced to resign over the Rainbow Warrior affair, is to star in a French movie — about spies. Mr Hernu will play the part of the Minister of the Interior in an unnamed film now being shot on location around France.
Crew working on the movie have described Mr Hernu as a “real pro.” “You would think that he has being doing it all his life,” a cameraman said. Mr Hernu has given permission for the town hall at Villeurbanne, 50kms from Lyons, where he is mayor, to be used as a Russian embassy in the film.
