Huston films
Sir, —I read with interest the article in your newspaper on August 22 about Danny Huston, son of the film director, John Huston who died last year. However, I would like to point out for any interested readers that “The Treasure of the Sierra Madre” was not the first film John Huston directed, as the article implied. He did direct that film, but his debut as director was seven years earlier, in 1941, with “The Maltese Falcon.” —Yours, etc.,
lAIN CHAMBERS. August 22, 1988.
