Pinnacles objection ‘helpful’
The Conservation Department’s objection to the Pinnacles resort development in the Rakaia basin is a “helpful” 1 one, says the .Minister of Conservation, Ms Clark. The department lodged its objection with the North Canterbury Catchment Board this week. It objects to the development’s application for water rights. But according to Ms Clark the objection is to seek more information on the effects of effluent discharge on fisheries, botanical and ecosystems in Lake Coleridge and the Ryton and Harper Rivers.
