Unitholders’ equity in the Opio Forestry Fund increased 2.7 per cent to $1,393,909 in the year epded March 31, the trustee, AMP Perpetual Trustee Company N.Z. announced yesterday.

The forest valuation, confirmed by the Forest Auditor, was $932,276. The land valuation resulted in a reduction of $32,270, but the value of the forest increased $73,296, giving a net Increase of $41,026 in the fund. Amortisation of the balance of preliminary expenses reduced this by a further $4442.

Trading activities showed a nil result, compared with a deficit of $3lOB last year. The asset backing a 100 c unit rose from 107 c to 111 c.
