Job loss numbers unknown
The Public Service Association in Canterbury was still waiting to hear how many jobs in flight services with the Airways Corporation would be lost, an official said last evening.
An organiser with the Public Service Association, Mr Gary Pullen, said that about 30 jobs were being cut throughout New Zealand.
“I imagine some of those will be in Christchurch.”
The job cuts were announced in Wellington. Mr Pullen had yet to hear from the Wellington P.S.A. how many were involved in Christchurch.
