Maguire concert
BARRY MAGUIRE, noted for his solo hit single, “Eve Of Destruction” and his part in the New Christy Minstrels, will return to Christchurch on August 16 for a World Vision concert featuring 300 schoolchildren on stage. The former protest singer, now a “bornagain” Christian, will perform at the Town Hall auditorium. Other dates of his New Zealand tour include Nelson College on Tuesday; Marlborough Centre, Blenheim, Wednesday; Regent Theatre, Greymouth, Thursday; Regent Theatre, Ashburton, August 17; and the Theatre Royal, Timaru, August 18.
