Holyoake memorial

The Government will soon announce commissioning of a memorial to the late Prime Minister and Governor-General, Sir Keith Holyoake. While it is traditional to commemorate Prime Ministers after their death, a memorial for Sir-Keith has been a controversial matter since the Government in 1984 reversed the National Government’s decision to name the new National Library after Sir Keith.
