Man drowns in Taieri

PA Dunedin A man drowned in a boating accident near Taieri Mouth has been identified by the police. He was Martin Gregory McCollough, aged 27. Detective Senior-Ser-geant Phil McAuslin said the accident happened before midnight on Wednesday, when Mr McCullough, of Taieri Mouth, and another man were out in two inflatable boats. They were making their way back to shore. The accident happened near the bridge over the Taieri River at Taieri Mouth.
