Final tax report on Friday

PA Wellington The Valabh consultative committee’s final report on the Government’s proposed dividend imputation scheme and international tax regime is to be released tomorrow.

The committee, headed by an Auckland accountant, Mr Arthur Valabh, has written a final report dealing with the implementation of the proposals, the Minister of Revenue, Mr de Cleene, said yesterday.

Consultative documents oh both proposals were issued in December, 1987, and the committee reported in March on international tax and in April on dividend imputation. Both reports were released at the time. The Brash committee’s report on superannuation and life insurance was being considered by the Government and was likely to be released within a fortnight, Mr de Cleene also said.
