Union, Mr Jack Scott, said talks “were progressing.” The public affairs manager for Waitaki, Mr John Bayley, said yesterday’s meeting had been constructive. Workers have been on strike at the two plants (which have now closed) since last week, blocking the shifting of products from the sites.
