TRAFFIC ENGINEER (STREETS DIVISION) The Traffic Engineer is directly responsible to the Streets Engineer of Council’s Property Services Group, for the operation and maintenance of traffic facilities in the City, including street lighting, traffic signals, trafficsigns and roadmarking. Duties also include the introduction of new traffic management schemes and trafficfacilities, carrying out investigations and design for minor traffic problems, preparing schedules of work and cost estimates and ensuring that works are carried out in the most cost effective manner. The successful applicant will be a Registered Engineer (or equivalent) with a minium of 5 years experience in reading works with a particular emphasis on traffic engineering.
