Intelligence seeks new director
PA Wellington The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advertising for a new director for the External Intelligence Bureau. The present director, Mr Bernard Hillier, has been appointed as High Commissioner to the Solomon Islands. The Director of the E. 1.8. is responsible to the officials committee on domestic and external security. According to the advertisement, the bureau reports on developments overseas in the political, economic, strategic, scientific and technological areas, and employs up to 38
