West German’s missing valuables
Anyone knowing the whereabouts of a passport and other valuable items stolen from a West German man recently arrived in Christchurch is asked to get in touch with him at Novalis House in Fifield Terrace. A report in “The Press” yesterday asked anyone finding the items to approach the owner, Mr Herbert Wolpert, at the Rudolph Steiner School. Although Novalis House is associated with the school, the school is closed for its mid-term break. Mr Wolpert is a child and family therapist working at Novalis House. His passport, a patient diary, address book and $2OO cash were taken from his car, a yellow left-hand-drive Cortina, parked near Christchurch Polytechnic on Saturday “The Press” also incorrectly reported that Mr Wolpert did not speak good English.
