Duchess ‘O.K.’ after motorway crash

NZPA-PA London The Duchess of York, who is expecting her first baby next month,. has been given the all-clear by her gynaecologist after her car was involved in an accident on the . M 4 motorway. The driver of the other car involved, a financial consultant, Mike Burrows, spoke of his relief that she escaped unhurt. “I am just so relieved she is all right and wasn’t injured in the crash,” said Mr Burrows, aged 31, who now faces possible prose-

cution for careless driving.

The Duchess’s gynaecologist, a Harley Street consultant, Anthony Kenney, has visited her and Buckingham Palace said, “There are no problems, She is 0.K.” The accident happened as the Royal car, driven by a police bodyguard, was travelling east in slow-moving traffic on a contraflow section of the M 4 between Newbury and Theale, Berkshire, about 32km from London. It was in collision with Mr Burrows’s car which was travelling towards it.
