The purpose of the position is to ensure that appropriate training and educational programmes are available to the Department’s social work staff and their supervisors. The appointee will work with senior management and training staff in Head Office, the six regional offices, tertiary education institutions and other relevant organisations. Primary responsibilities are for social work training and education policy development, programme co-ordination, and quality assurance. Applicants should be able to show success in social work practice, supervision and training, as well as having high levels of. skill in leadership, communication, planning and policy development.
