Maori radio
PA Hamilton The Maori radio network, Aotearoa Radio, will be launched in Auckland on July 17, the board’s chairman, Mr Bill Ohia, says. Programmes would be bilingual and cover news, current affairs and across-the-board music, he said yesterday. The board was target-
ing the wider area of Pacific listeners, especially with the 18 to 40 year age group. Mr Ohia said Aotearoa Radio expected to expand soon into Wellington, Christchurch and the Bay of Plenty. The Maori radio network is funded by the Maori Affairs Department and the Broadcasting Corporation. ,
