PA Wellington The national director of the Intellectually Handicapped Society, Mr J. B. Munro is the new president of the Federation of Voluntary Welfare Organisations. Mr Munro won the presidency by one vote from the other nominee, Schizophrenia Fellowship co-founder, Mrs Christine Staniforth, at the federation’s annual meeting in Wellington. The 53 votes were split 27-26 in Mr Munro’s favour.
