New Fiji decree likely
NZPA-AAP Suva Fiji’s interim Government is expected to announce dramatically increased powers of arrest and search for its police and Army today. Sources said the move, to be formalised in a decree by President Ratu Sir Penaia Ganilau, was approved at a special Cabinet meeting late yesterday. Details of the decree were not available last evening.
