Auck. woman in abduction ordeal
PA Auckland Detectives say a young woman, aged 17, was abducted, sexually abused and dumped unconscious in a darkened street in Auckland.
She told the police yesterday about her 14-hour ordeal which ended yesterday morning when residents of an Onehunga house found her lying outside their garage. The woman, taken by ambulance to Auckland Hospital . and later discharged, told police she was grabbed from behind as she walked home along a Papatoetoe street about 5.30 p.m. on Tuesday. Se|seant
Harry Hilditch, of the Auckland Central crime squad, said the woman was forcibly led a short distance to the man’s car, and was then bound. Detective-Sergeant Hil-
ditch said the offender drove to a house where the woman suffered repeated indecencies, including attempted rape. During the night she was taken back to the car and hit across the head with a solid object. She is thought to have been dumped from the car about daybreak.
