Funeral service for bishop
The funeral service for Bishop Alwyn Warren, a former Bishop of Christchurch, will be held in Christchurch Cathedral today at 2 p.m.
Bishop Warren, the fourth Bishop of Christchurch, died last Friday. He was Bishop from 1951 to 1966.
The funeral service will be conducted by the Dean of Christchurch, the Very Rev. Dr David Coles, with an address by the VicarGeneral, the Ven. Alan McKenzie.
Hymns will be led by the Royal Christchurch Musical Society, and a tribute will be given by the Bishop of Aotearoa, the Rt Rev. Whakahuihui Vercoe.
