"It is very important that our artists have the chance to be trained in

the latest techniques, so this grant - will be of enormous value in giving the arts in this country a real boost.” The grants will bring the total given by the Lottery Board to the Arts Council to $9.5M, compared with just over SSM last year. The Arts Council planned to use SIM for the fund and to invest $500,000. .
