Williams fined
Gary Williams was fined $lOO for failing to make the contracted riding weight on Saveur in the Stoneyhurst Handicap at the Canterbury Jockey Club’s meeting at Riccarton on Saturday. Terry Kennedy, a Central Districts apprentice,
whs stood down from riding for the day after becoming unwell before the Chokebore 1400 and substitute riders had to be found for several horses. Zaphir was a late scratching in the Chokebore because a suitable replacement for Kennedy could not be found.
