Fine for store on nighties
PA Wellington Farmers Trading Company has been fined a total of $5OOO for selling children’s nightwear that did not meet fire safety standards. The District Court in Wellington was told yesterday that this was only the second prosecution brought by the Commerce Commission under the Fair Trading Act The first resulted in L. D. Nathan, Ltd, being fined $3OOO on two charges which also related to sale of children’s nightwear. ■ ' The maximum fine for the offence is $lOO,OOO. -
