PA Whangarei The North Auckland Electric Power Board is looking for a parachutist who' crashed into board power lines at Mata on Sunday. The deputy-chief engineer, Mr John Ward, said yesterday the story of the parachutist first became known when the board had a call from a Mata resident whose power was cut.
Staff found the damage was caused by a parachutist. “Two fuses blew where the lines bashed together,” Mr Ward said. The parachutist was extremely lucky
The board was now trying to track down the hapless parachutist to bill him the $BO cost to restore power.
