First cross German hinds top weaner sale
First cross German weaner hinds topped the weaner hind and stag deer sale at Insignis Park, Christchurch, yesterday. The five hinds from Graham Carr International Deer Corporation, of Peel Forest, each sold for $875. They were bought by Muller Station, Marlborough. The large gallery was made up of Canterbury buyers only. A full clearance was reached and all stock came forward in good condition. Animals which were part of a T.B. accredited scheme sold at a premium. Stock which was 50kg or heavier sold well. Other highlights of the sale included: B. E.
