Nasty addition to the Weetbix
PA New Plymouth A Weetbix packer’s prank — just discovered in Hawera — is considered by the police to be in bad taste. Senior-Sergeant Steve Christian said a Hawera man reported finding a hand-written note in the bottom of his Weetbix packet, presumably written by a Sanitarium worker who signed himself the "Phantom Weetbix Packer.” It says: “You’ve just eaten a Weetbix laced with a lethal dose of po-
tassium cyanide. You will be dead within 4s. Sweet dreams. The Phantom Weetbix Packer.” "The note is obviously a nasty joke because the man who ate the last Weetbix in the packet is still alive,” said SeniorSergeant Christian. Police will inquire about the incident with Sanitarium, the maker of Weetbix. Senior-Sergeant Christian said the note could not have been 5 inserted by a supermarket worker as the seal was unbroken.
