A. Hanson Co., Inc., of Spokane, U.S.A., where each has a fifty per cent interest. During 1988 R. A. Hanson Co., Inc., will complete the construction of a sophisticated dredge for Grey River Gold Mining, Ltd, on the Grey River near Greymouth, New Zealand. Subsequently Grey River Gold Mining, Ltd, will manage the dredging operation which will recover gold from the extensive alluvial reserves in the Grey River Valley, in which the company has or will hold certain mining and prospecting licence? and other mining privileges. The company is seeking candidates for the following position: MINERAL TECHNOLOGIST The Mineral Technologist will report to the Exploration Manager and Metallurgist and assist as required in running the dredge processing plant and final clean up in the gold room. The work will involve testwork and sampling to establish and maintain maximum recovery, make improvements and maintain quality in both these areas. We envisage the applicant will: 0 have tertiary qualifications in mineral dressing or some form of mineral technology 0 be a relatively recent graduate preferably with some field experience • have a practical bent and be interested in “hands on” mineral processing 0 be intelligent and well motivated It is the company’s policy to train and develop people in both the theoretical and practical aspects of dredging and the right person could expect to have a rewarding future with the company. .
