Knife man arrested
PA Auckland A man with a machete and carving knife was arrested by police in Glen Innes about 7 p.m. yesterday. Sergeant Nigel Roe said a domestic dispute broke out between the man and his wife. The man, in his 30s, allegedly threw the machete aginst a wall and left the house.
Sergeant Roe said a distressed family member called the police because it was believed the man intended to go to a house of his wife’s relatives. Police said the man when stopped in the street had in his possession a carving knife and machete.
He will appear in the District Court at Auckland today
