Champion palamino pony sold
Chandelle, a 132.5 cm, 11-year-old palamino mare, had her last outing with Amanda Brown in the F.E.I. events at the Malvern A. arid P. Show recently. The pony is registered with the New Zealand Registrar Ponyi Society and Pony' Breeders New Zealand, by Prince Alladin of the Desert, out of the A Grade jumper. Hi-Lite.
This versatile little pony has been sold. On coming to the Brown family, Chandelle was first ridden by Justin, and i their final outing together was at the Championship show in February, 1987, where Chandelle ’ was awarded the paced and mannered pony of the year rosette.

The New; Zealand Western Riding Federation; held its South Island Teams Show at
Otautau, in Southland, on March 26 and 27. 1 > I The Christchurch Western Riding Association sent down a team of four riders; and horses — Gail Newton! and Master Gio, Karen Brooks and Brookfield Clover Chico, Phylis Ross and Taralea Rasheik and Margot Hansen and Tenei John Brown; ' [ Six teams competed and at the [start of each day, had to perform a precision riding pattern to music. The Christchurch team won both riding patterns and was well placed in [other events, .including Western Pleasure, trail, [reining; working cow horse and a variety of games, some including cattle. The final result put the Navaho team from Otago in first place overall, ! with Christchurch second. A [team from the Wallace Western Riding Club, Otautau, woh the trophy for horsemanship, sportsmanship and friendship. It is hoped this teams show will be an annual event, hosted by different Western Riding clubs throughout the South Island. i ONE-DAY TRIALS

ductory one-day horse trials were held last Saturday on the property of F.R. and A.C. Meyer, Hawarden.
