Malthouse Theatre open day

The Canterbury Children’s Theatre! Malthouse premises in. Colombo Street will open to the public today, for the first time in five years. The old stone building, which houses the theatre, will be open to the! public from noon to (4 p.m. The open day follows the official opening at 11 a.m. of a cottage i beside

the theatre, which has been renovated for drama classes and storage. j Elric Hooper, the artistic director of the Court Theatre, will open the cottage. Afterwards children will present a programme on a circus theme. ,
