Special stamp issues
New Zealand’s second International Festival of the Arts will be marked by use of a special pictorial date-stamp at Wellington on March 4. Mail for the pictorial stamp can be posted on March 4 at three special posting boxes in central Wellington. Another stamp issue will mark New Zealand's special links with Australia' in a special 40c stamp to celebrate Australia’s bicentenary of European settlement. The stamp was drawn in cartoon style by the Australian artist, Ronald Harvey, of Victoria, and depicts a kiwi and a koala bear “brewing up” over a camp fire.
