Macabre social fable
A romantic novelist, an erring husband, a woman bent on revenge... “The Life and Loves of a She Devil,” is back for a repeat screening on One. “The Life and Loves of a She Devil,” is a macabre social fable based on the novel by Fay Weldon, who has written many best-selling novels highlighting the fate of women in the modern world. It first played on. New Zealand television in mid- 1987. Weldon’s original TV series, “Heart of the Country,” screened here late last year. “The Life and Loves of a She Devil” begins its four-part screening tonight at 10.15 on One and continues for the next three nights in the same slot.
