Fishermen airlifted
PA Wanganui Two injured Korean fishermen were flown from their boat late yesterday in Air Force helicopters to Wellington Hospital. The men, one with a broken leg and the other with chest and head injuries, are believed to been injured when
hit by a stanchion in the Wellington-based Korean fishing boat Odoe Yang. One of the pilots, Flying Officer Paul Hughes, said the rescue call . was received about 9.30 a.m. when the helicopters were at Waiouru on an exercise, ThV men were airlifted on stretchers at 2 p.m.
