Public Notices Public Notices CANTERBURY PROVINCIAL BRASS BANOS’ ASSOCIATION INC ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING WE INVITE YOU to attend the Annual General Meeting of the Canterbury Provincial Brass Bands Associations. The meeting will be held on Sunday, February 28,1988 at 3.30 p.m. in the bandroom of the Ashburton Silver Band, Cameron Street, Ashburton. Your attendance would be most appreciated. The Canterbury Brass Bands’ Association was established for the benefit of all our Canterbury Bands and any input that you can offer to our organisation for our future welfare would be most appreciated. This meeting is not just for band delegates. All bandpersons, parents, supporters and interested followers are welcome to attend. Following the meeting you are invited to join us for a Barbecue tea. Equipment for cooking will be available but please bring your own food, etc. CANTERBURY YOUTH BAND REHEARSAL THE CANTERBURY YOUTH BAND are preparing for their trip to Honolulu and will be rehearsing at the Ashburton College Auditorium from 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. on Sunday, February 28, (prior to the C.P.8.8.A. Annual Meeting). The members of the youth band have been working extremely hard for their trip and your attendance at this rehearsal will be a real encouragement to their efforts and would be much appreciated. CLOSURE OF MT SOMERS WALKWAY PURSUANT to Section 46 of the New Zealand Walkways Act 1975, the Canterbury District Walkway Committee hereby gives notice that the Mt Somers Walkway will be closed from Febuary 25 and 26,1988 due to Air Force exercises in the area.
