Australian run for Flight Bijou
NZPA-AAP Brisbane Former New Zealand galloper, Flight Bijou, is to have his second Australian race in the Dahlia Welter Handicap (1300m)at Eagle Farm today. Flight Bijou, to be ridden by an apprentice, David Kelly, has raced on Australian soil only once previously for tenth to Catering King over 1200 m at Doomben last June.
Owned by former Queensland Racing Minister Russ Hinze and his wife, Faye, the Noble Bijou gelding has won five of his 17 starts, and could sprint well fresh. In latest markets, he is rated a 10-1 shot behind i firm favourite Insatiate : (5-4). V
