Injured climber rescued

> A third helicopter recovery mission in 24 hours was under way in Mount Cook National Park late last evening. A helicopter left Mount Cook Village about 9 p.m. to fly to the Ball Hut, at the base of Mount Cook beside the Tasman Glacier, where an injured Asian climber was waiting to be flown out. The climber was flown to park headquarters about 11 p.m. The Timaru police said his injuries did not appear “too serious.”
