Balloon goes up early
PA Wellington Fosters Lager was launched on an unscheduled advertising campaign yesterday when a 6m by 2m balloon bearing the product’s name broke free from its mooring at the Trentham Racecourse, about 10 a.m. Wellington Civil Aviation authorities were alerted and a general warning to airmen was issued. The balloon was last seen heading towards Whitemans Valley, at the back of Upper Hutt, and was expected to leave the coast about 20 miles north of Cape Palliser. Sightings of the balloon should be reported to the Wellington police.
