Trawler buy
Three Dunedin companies involved in the fishing industry are associated with the recent purchase of New Zealand’s largest deepwater trawler. Wilson Neill, Globe Export Fisheries, Ltd, and Otakou Fisheries, Ltd, of Dunedin, together own .60 per cent of the sharehold-
ing of South Island Deepwater Fisheries, Ltd. This company has bought a large deepwater trawler from the Faroe Islands which is due to arrive in New Zealand at the end of this month. The. 1600 tonne, 87-metre-long stem trawler, Gilijanes, will be based in Timaru
