Class glass from past

PA Wellington Material which could have been produced in medieval times will be made available to New Zealand stained glass artists during a British trade mission this week. The mission, from today until Wednesday, has been organised by the Leicester and County Chamber of Commerce. The craftsmen of James Hetley and Company use the same skills and methods as the glass-

blowers of centuries ago. However, although the antique coloured glass is produced in the time-hon-oured way, it can have modern effects such as streaky or flashed colours, or combinations of colours in plain and tinted whites,, medium or dark single shades. Other products to be promoted included sheet metal tools, new and used textile machinery, contact lens material and processing equipment.
