Prebble silent

PA Auckland The Minister of Pacific Island Affairs, Mr Prebble, yesterday said he would not discuss his recent talks with leaders of Fiji’s appointed Government until he had spoken to other Labour Cabinet Ministers. Mr Prebble spent about one month in Fiji on holiday. His wife, Nancy, is Fijian and has spoken in support of indigenous rule in the recently declared republic. The Cabinet will meet tomorrow. During his stay in Fiji, Mr Prebble spoke informally to a number of Government and Opposition politicians.
