Kaoru Brave wins well

By david McCarthy Kaoru Brave was an impressive winner of the all classes 1600 m heat at the Riccarton Turf Club trials at Motukarara yesterday. Most of the events had to .be conducted from a flag start After the starting gates failed early on the programme. Kaoru Brave was one of those to jump best in the ten strong 1600 m field and he set most of the pace winning well in 1:39.3, his closing 800 m in 48.15.
