Steeplechaser retired
PA Auckland Orca, runner-up to Deductable in the Nescafe Steeplechase at Ellerslie in June, has been retired. In the 1985 contest, one of his four previous at-
tempts to win that race, Orca pressed the mighty Hunterville to a short head. Orca also ran in the Waikato Steeplechase five times, finishing third four
times. His wins included the Wellington t Steeplechase and Pakuranga Hunt Cup. > Mr Tarrant said he de- > cided to retire Qfca because of a fetlock injury.
