Police question neighbours
The police visited 15 Christchurch houses soon after dawn yesterday in a hunt for the robber who bashed an elderly and crippled man early on Tuesday. Detective Senior-Ser-geant Dave Whitford said the houses were in the same area as the victim’s Worcester Street home. The occupants were interviewed in the hope that they knew something of the attack, in which the victim, aged 78, was robbed of $7O.
