France reverses order to expel dissidents
NZPA-Reuter Paris France, bowing to hunger strikers and international condemnation, has reversed expulsion orders on 15 Iranians and Turks and said they would be flown back to Paris or to Spain. The French Interior Ministry said in a statement that seven Iranian dissidents expelled on December 8 as a threat to national security would return to their French
homes late last evening from their exile in Gabon. Eight others — five Iranians and three Turks — would be flown to Spain after the Madrid Government had agreed to accept them.
